Ms Kaufman provides a general introduction into the perspective of what a real estate agent provides to both the Buyer and the Seller. The purchase of a home is a valuable asset, perhaps the biggest cost expense a person or couple might be engaging in purchasing, or selling.
Although a basic perspective, and the article does provide some insight into what the real estate agent brings to the transaction process, the article does miss one key ingredient to discuss with any representation by a Realtor: compensation. Just how is the broker compensated, both from the perspective of the Sell side and the Buy side, or representation on both sides of a transaction.
